Middletown...Edgar Earl ""Ed"" Hasty, 52, resident of Middletown, passed away near Huntington, Indiana from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.He was born in New Castle, December 30, 1958, the son of Harold and Maxie Pauline Stockton Hasty, Sr.He was a 1978 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and worked for over 20 years at Modernfold in New Castle. He was currently a truck driver for Carter Express and was Past Master of New Castle Lodge F & AM, #91 of New Castle.He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis and was a licensed auctioneer.He was preceded in death by his father: Harold E. Hasty, Sr.Survivors are two sons: James Hasty of Middletown and Alan (Jessica) Hasty of Muncie, his mother: Maxie Pauline Hasty of New Castle, 2 grandchildren: Adelynne Rose and Jerakye Alan Hasty of Muncie, 1 brother: Harold Hasty Jr., of New Castle and his former wife: Helen Hasty of Middletown, 1 nephew: Eric Eugene Hasty of New Castle, cousins, aunts and uncles.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Marty Ballard of the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene officiating.Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4-8 PM with Masonic services at 7:30 PM.Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, through the funeral home.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
