Daleville...Earl P, Reed, 88, resident of Daleville passed away at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson October 9, 2014.He was born in Mt. Pleasant Township, January 21, 1926, the son of John and Mary Ann (Haugh) Reed.He attended Eaton and Daleville Schools.He served in WW 2 in the US Army and was stationed in Korea and the Philippines.He was in the construction business for 40 years and raised live stock and farmed.He was an avid card player and trap shooter.He drove a school bus for Wes-Del Schools for over 32 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, brothers; Robert,Mike, Bill, Leslie and Theodore Reed and a daughter: Jeanette Jane Reed.Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Naomi Nell (Pence) Reed of Daleville, 1 son: Edward Reed (Cindy) of Gaston, Daughters: Carol Hill (Fred) of Muncie, Nancy Scott (Bruce) of Portland, OR, Lynette Carter (Walter) of Chesterfield and 1 brother: Dick Reed (Pat) of Yorktown, 2 brothers-in-law: Robert (Elaine) Pence and Wayne Pence, grandchildren: Jason and Jeremy Scott, Ginger Reed, Jamie Wormer, Megan (Carter) Riffey ,Great grandchildren : Mary Wormer, Jacob Riffey, Desiree and Kevin Scott, Jarod Taylor and Courtney and Cheyenne Scott, great great grandchildren: Ty Earl Scott and Austin Scott.Graveside celebration services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Hawk Cemetery in Yorktown with full military rites.There will be no public visitation at the funeral Home.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com and Facebook/Ballard & Sons; Life Celebration, Counseling, Funerals and Cremation.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Earl P.
