Manchester,TN...E. Joan Ratliff, 84, resident of Manchester, TN, passed away March 2, 2009 at Manchester Health Care Center.She was born December 8, 1924 in Darlington, Indiana. She had been employed by the Northwestern School Corporation in Middletown for over 10 years as a school secretary and with Ball State University as an administrative assistant before retiring.She was a member of the Sixth Street Christian Church in Middletown and the Hazelwood Christian Church in Muncie as well as the First Baptist Church of Manchester.She was preceded in death by her husband Myron J. Ratliff in 2004, 2 brothers: Charles and Joe Miller and a sister: Elizabeth Cox rhinehart.Survivors are 2 sons: David and Kay Ratliff of Columbia, SC and Jim and Doreen Ratliff of Phoenix, AZ, three grandchildren: Stephanie Fischer of Beaufort, SC, Marc and Michael Ratliff of Phoenix, AZ, two great grandson: Tyler and David Fischer.Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Elm Ridge Mausoleum in Muncie with Rev.
