Duane Bart Hudson, 51, lifelong resident of Middletown passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on July 4, 1971 in Muncie, IN a son of Julian “Bart” Hudson of Middletown and the late, Judith “Judy” (Granger) Hudson.
Duane was a 1989 graduate of Shenandoah High School and for the past 18 years had been employed by Reflectix Inc. located in Markleville. He loved his family, enjoyed being outdoors on the water or just enjoying a good campfire. One hobby Duane and his father, Bart, enjoyed together over the past 40 years was performing American Indian dancing at powwow festivals all over the United States. Duane also enjoyed playing golf and pool, both 8 and 9 ball.
In addition to his father, Duane is survived by his children, Geordyn (Carson) Zile of Middletown and Faron Hudson of Middletown; granddaughter, Bettie Hudson; siblings, Frank “Tony” Bunnell of Lebanon, Rebecca “Becky” (John) Genth of Pleasant Mills, IN and Russell “Rusty” (Jae) Hudson of Fishers.
Duane was preceded in death by his mother, Judith “Judy” Hudson.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at the Middletown American Legion Post #216 at a future date and time to be determined. Burial will take place at Saunders Cemetery in Daleville at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown.
