Douglas Bruce Sellers

Anderson...Douglas Bruce Sellers, 67, resident of Anderson, passed away at his residence June 30, 2018.
He was born in New Castle, December 16, 1950, the son of Wilbur and Vesta Loundenback Sellers.
He was a graduate of Shenandoah High School (1969) and attended Indiana State and Ball State Universities. He taught at Shenandoah, Richmond, and Bremen Schools
and was a substitute teacher for Anderson Community Schools. He was a member of the Sixth Street Christian Church and the Middletown Lions club.
He was intrumental in Shenandoah Girls Athletics for decades as official scorekeeper for Lady Raider Basketball and Softball. He loved being around students in band and worked especially hard for the Shenandoah Marching Raiders.
He is survived by his sister: Jane Young (Mark) of Middletown, nieces: Stephanie Young Benson (Jason) of New Palestine and Shaunda Young of Evergreen, Colorado.
Also several cousins including: Cheryl Ratliff Tichenor.
He had been preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial services will be held on Friday at 6:30 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with a time of gather one half hour before.
Memorials may be made to the Shenandoah Girls Athletic teams and the Sixth Street Christian Church.
