Middletown...Dorothy Maxine (Staley) Holbrook, 87, resident of Middletown passed away November 9, 2016 at Millers Merry Manor in Middletown. She was born in Anderson, July 19, 1929 the daughter of Joe and Tina Marie Hahn Staley.She was a graduate of Anderson High School and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service..She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and loved to play golf. She had lived in Anderson before moving to Middletown in the mid 1970's.Survivors are her husband: Aaron W. of Middletown, children: Tammy Andrew (Billy) of Glensfork, KY, Martin Wade Holbrook (Donna) of Anderson, and Tina Allyn (Shannon) of Newark, OH, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, 1 sister: Mary Craig of Anderson and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Ned Clark officiating.Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.Friends may call from noon until the time of the services on Monday at the funeral home.Online guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Dorothy with family and friends.
