Middletown...Doris Evelyn (Swoveland) Peavler, 83, resident of Middletown, went to be with our Lord and Savior, November 25, 2002, at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson after an extended illness.She was born in Blountsville, Indiana, July 14, 1919 the daughter of Lorie and Lena Halstead Swoveland. She had been a homemaker her entire life.She was a member of the Cadiz Friends Church in Cadiz.She was preceded in death by both her husbands: Hubert H. King, Sr. in 1946 and Clarence Peavler in 1986, 1 brother: Delbert Swoveland, 1 daughter: Patricia Jean Lowery, and 1 sister: Mary Peavler.Survivors include 6 children: Donald L. (Deloris) King of New Castle, Hubert H. King Jr. (Lisa) of Middletown, Kenneth E. King (Darlene) of Middletown, Ronald K. Peavler, Doris R. Hoover (Gilbert) of Straughn, Robert E. Peavler (Brenda) of Cadiz and 1 son-in-law: Gerald Lowery of Sulphur Springs, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Ralph Swoveland of Moreland and Clarence Swoveland of Bloutsville.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, IN with Floyd Cobb officiating.
