Anderson....Doris Ann (Tway) Lawson, 81, resident of Anderson but longtime resident of the Muncie area, passed away Sunday at Community Hospital in Anderson.She was born in Anderson, August 27, 1934, the daughter of John Miller and Mary Elma Simmerman Tway.She was a 1953 graduate of Anderson High School and worked in the cafeteria of Cowan High School for several years.She was a member of the Corinth United Methodist Church, the Home Economics Club of Delaware County, and volunteered as a girl scout leader with the Wapahani Council. She was active in 4-H and loved cake decorating.She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother: Harold Dean Tway.Survivors include her husband: Billy of Anderson, 3 children: Jennifer Chandler of Hartford City, Julia Knight (Ronald) of Powell, TN and Janice Hendsel of Anderson, 6 grandchildren: Jessica Williams (Jim Keele), Mindy Wehmeier (Paul), Melissa Knight, Dewayne Lyons (Janalee), Ashlee Lambert (Jason Dill) and Meranda Perry (Shawn), 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Pastor Dan Sinkhorn officiating.Burial will follow in Saunders Cemetery in Daleville.Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the Corinth United Methodist Church.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Doris Ann with family and friends.
