Daleville....Doris Kristeen (Hartzell) Katzmarek, 66, resident of Daleville passed away Wednesday at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson. She was born in Muncie, September 9, 1952, the daughter of James and Vita Orebaugh Hartzell.
She was a 1970 graduate of Daleville High School and worked for many years at Wal-Mart.
She attended Trinity Community Church and the former Pikes Peak Church in Daleville and participated in the band and girl Scouts as well as 4-H in high school.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Joyce Barber and brother: Harold Hartzell.
Survivors are her husband of 42 years: John Katzmarek of Daleville, sister: MaryGayle Hartzell, children: Mindy Brown, Jenny Speedy, Missy Richardson, Jane Buck, Grandchildren: Josh Brown, Joey Katzmarek, Jonathon Speedy, Ean, Samantha, Kaitlynne, Hope, Thomas, Madison, Griffis, Colton and Jazmine Richardson, Lucy, Jaxon, and River Buck, step grandchildren: Candice and Tim Speedy, Harley Powell, Damian and Rayden Richardson, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Sunday at 6:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with pastor Marty Ballard officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-6 PM.
