Muncie....Doris Maxine (Crum) Benbow, 94, resident of Muncie, passed away May 1, 2018 at Westminster Village in Muncie.
She was born April 21, 1924, the daughter of Homer and Fleeta Lindley Crum.
She was a graduate of Anderson High School and retired in 1980 from General Motors where she had worked on assembly.
She had been preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dawson Benbow in 1996, brother: Forest Crum, brother in law: Larry Benbow (Wanda) and sister in law, Farrie Flowers and Jim Hiday.
Survivors are her children: Greg and Debbie Hinchman of Chesapeake, VA and Greg and Becky Lowe of Muncie, step children: Sherry and Robert Bowen of Sheridan, Pat and Rick Sorg of Troy, Ohio and Bill and Paulette Benbow of Monticello, grandchildren: Jill Woods, Hanna Loerke, Lara Bruner, Michele Crim, Jenny Roberts, Julie Durbin, John Bowen, Andrew Sorg and Joseph Sorg, several great grandchildren, Sister-in-law: Grace Crum, Nellanne Hiday and brother in law: Jerry Benbow (Marcie).
Services will be held on Saturday at 4:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of the services at the funeral home.
