Donald Eugene Jones

Mt. Summit...Donald Eugene Jones, 84, resident of Mt. Summit, IN, died early Wednesday morning at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle, after a brief illness.He was born December 30, 1918 in Henry County, the son of Wilbur and Tina L. Webber Jones.He had worked at the Oakville Grain Elevator retiring in 1970 and had been a professional fishing guide for over 21 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW 2. He was a graduate of Sulphur Spring High School.Survivors are 2 daughters: Cheryl (John) Jackson of Newcastle, Washington, Risa (Patrick McAlister) Jones of Mt. Sumit, 1 stepson: Ronnie (Diane Poer) Hinesley of Sulphur Springs, 2 step daughters: Paul Nyberg of San Diego and Linda (Rick) Egan of New Castle, IN., several grandchildrfen, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice in 2002, 2 sisters; Doris Trimble and Ada Brown, 1 brother: Noble Jones and 1 son: Trent Jones.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with REv.
