Marion...Donald G. Haynes, 68, resident of Wesleyan Health Care in Marion, passed away at 4:40 PM Saturday at the nursing home.He was born in Middletown, October 3, 1946, the son of Virgil and Mary Ann Barrett Haynes.He was a 1964 graduate of Middletown High School and served in the US Army from 1964 to 1968.Donald loved horses and other animals.He was a member of the American Legion and worked at banks in Middletown and Anderson, as well a Budget Leasing in Anderson.He worked for DMV of Florida as well as the County Assessor in Florida.Surviving are brothers: Norman and Jim Haynes of Middletown, Ralph (Lila) Haynes of Marion, and sisters: Judy Cunningham of Anderson and Janet Crabil (Bill) of Middletown.He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Jon and five brothers and 2 sisters.Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-7 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown and one hour before the service on Wednesday.A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park in Anderson.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Donald G.
