Donald A. Beyler, 88, resident of Kendallville and longtime resident of the Mechanicsburg area, passed away July 4, 2018 in Kendallville.
He was born in Napanee, Indiana, July 18, 1929, the son of Raymond Royal and Bessie Viola Abbiehl Beyler.
He was a graduate of Lakeville High School and had an associate's degree in Electrical Technology. He retired from General Motors, Delco Remy.
He was a United Stare Naval Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, He was an active member of the Middletown Lions club and enjoyed farming.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Deloris Emsweller Beyler.
He is survived by his children: Anita Taggart (Alan) of Kendallville and Duane Beyler (Kay) of Sharpsville, Indiana, 2 brothers: Marland Beyler (Marcia) of Ft. Wayne and Rev. Robert Beyler (Peg) of South Bend.
Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of the services.
Memorials may be made to the Middletown Lions club or Chandler Place Assisted Living.
