Anderson...Don Granger, 89, resident of Anderson, died Saturday evening at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown, after an extended illness.He was born in Anderson, April 11, 1915, and had lived in Daleville for over 50 years before moving to Anderson six years ago.He attended Anderson High School and was past President of Child Evangelism of Madison County and was involved for many years with CO-BE-AC children's church camp.He was former assessor and trustee of Salem Township and retired from General Motors. He was a member of the USA Local 662.In his younger days he loved growing a garden, raising chickens, and sold eggs at Delco Remy.He had attended the Middletown Church of the Nazarene and the Pleasant Valley Christian Church, and was a member of Allen Bethel New Dunkard Church of God.He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years: Zelma I. Granger in 1996.Survivors include his wife: Zelma B. (Will) Granger of Anderson, 1 son: Pete Granger of Mechanicsburg, 1 daughter and son-in-law: Joanna and Jim Winningham of New Castle, IN, 1 grandson: Brandon Granger of Mechanicsburg, 2 granddaughters: Laura Granger of Noblesville and Rachel (Mike) Slain of Grayslake, IL, 1 great grandson: Jordan Dellinger of Grayslake, IL, 2 great granddaughters: Samantha Dellinger of Grayslake and Athena Granger of Noblesville, 5 stepchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren,2 sister-in-laws and 1 brother-in-law: Ross and Marcia Myers and Pauline Arwine of Anderson and Lois Granger of Middletown, a very special friend: Cherie Burnett Ritz and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, IN with Rev. Gerald Burnett and Rev.
