Middletown...Diane Gavin Dellinger, 73, went to be with the Lord and her parents on Monday evening at her residence.She was born in Middletown, January 4, 1939, the daughter of Harry A. and Lucille Haynes Gavin.She was a 1957 graduate of Middletown High School and Apex School of Beauty.She worked as a seamstress at Liebhardt Mills for 22 years.She was bookkeeper for her husband's grocery, ""Pooch's Pantry"" in Middletown.She had been a caretaker for her Grandma Forney and the Hedrick family. She had survived cancer since 1982 and was a great mother and grandmother and lover of jazz and blues. She loved animals and was a great cook.Survivors include her husband: Larry D. ""Pooch"" Dellinger of Middletown, 2 sons: Michael Blair Dellinger (Veronica) and Anthony Jay Dellinger, both of Middletown, 2 grandchildren: Nolan Ryan and Cal Michael Dellinger of Middletown, 1 sister: Delores Teter of Anderson and 1 brother: Tony Gavin (Linda) of Middletown, Nieces and nephews: Scott, Barry, Jami and Jennifer.Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Middletown with Dr. James Harless and Rev. Marty Ballard officiaiting.Cremation will follow.Friends may call from noon until the time of the services on Friday at the funeral home.Memorials to the Susan B.
