Middletown...Deborah Colleen (Yapp) Stephens, 64, resident of Middletown. one of the most amazing and strong women has gone home on this day January 8, 2016.She was like a big mamma bear with a back bone of steel but with humor and a laugh that was contagious. She had a heart big enough to wrap around you like an ocean wave.She was the blunt teller of truth and an anchor and holder of precious memories.She was known to have the best home cooking in the entire Ohio Valley.She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Jenny Yapp, two sisters: Anna Mae and Bettylou and a brother: Paul, Jr.She is survived by her husband of 28 years: George of Middletown, two sons: Jason (JoAnn) Shannon of Mansfield, TX and Ryan (Christina) Shannon of Fishers, a brother: Billy of Middletown, two step sisters: Linda Paligo of Cabden, Illinois and Robin Krathwohl of Middletown, step brother: Donnie Jewel of North Carolina, 6 precious grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.All who were blessed by this larger than life love.....that is Debbie.A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 7:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Kent Vetor as celebrant.Friends may gather after 4 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday for a time of sharing and remembrance.Online Guestbook at:
