Deborah "Deb" passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 26th. She was born May 10, 1958 in Findlay, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father William Arthur Sackmann and her mother Suzanne Marie Tanneur Sackmann of Findlay. She was also preceded in death by her son SGT Robert James Redick of Middletown.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Redick of Anderson; four sons, Thomas Redick of West Lafayette, Dr. Bradley (Windsor) Redick currently stationed in Germany, Marcus (Nickie) Redick of Carthage, and Gregory (Deanna) Redick of Middletown; three siblings, Judy Cole of Florida, Carol Sackmann of Ohio, and John Sackmann of North Carolina. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
Deb was a highly respected pillar of the community. She was instrumental in creating Sending a Little Home, an organization to provide care packages for deployed military around the globe. She was a huge supporter of Run for the Fallen, Honor and Remember, and the Indiana Patriot Guard.
Deb might be best known for her involvement with Shenandoah and the Anderson Blitz athletic programs. She was a true Raider Rowdy and wife of the Bleacher Creature. She provided many meals for football, wrestling, soccer, and beyond.
She had an infectious personality and never met a stranger. She loved camping, supporting her grandchildren's numerous hobbies, and being with family
A memorial service will be held on Friday November 5, 2021 at 7:00pm at the Middletown Nazarene Church with Pastor Jim Harless and Marty Ballard officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either the Indiana Patriot Guard or the Honor and Remember foundation.
