VEro Beach, FL....Debora ""Debby"" Jo Allen, 62, died peacefully at her home on March 12th in Vero Beach, Florida. She had been suffering from Polycystic Renal/Kidney failure for the past 10 years. She was the daughter of Marion Lee and Joan K. Allen, Middletown, Indiana. She graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1970 and earned a BS and MA degree from Ball State University in Adult Education.Following her college graduation she served as the Madison and Randolph County Youth Extension Agent. After her Extension Services, she was engaged in farming near Lynn, Indiana before locating to the Lafayette area retiring (2007) from Meijer Corporation. Debby enjoyed her family, friends, dogs, horses and later her retirement in Vero Beach.She is survived by her daughter Dawn and her husband James Midelis, step grandchildren: Jewel and James Midelis of Ft. Pierce, FL, mother: Joan K. Allen, brother: Mike Allen, Nephews; Mat and Kyle (Rachel) Allen, 2 great nephews and a great niece, all of Indianapolis and her companion :Lynn McKinney of Vero Beach and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her father: Marion Allen, paternal grandparents: Reuben and Helen Allen-Shroyer; maternal grandparents; Howard and Helen Kline.Memorial services in her honor will be held at the Anderson Church of the Brethren in Anderson, 741 Scatterfield Road, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 am with a social hour following for family, friends, and guests to ""celebrate the life of Debby"", in the reception hall at the church. A private cremation burial will follow at a later date at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials to be given in her honor to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation
