Clyde Joseph "Joe" Fithian

Clyde Joseph (Joe) Fithian, 71, resident of Anderson, passed away Thursday at his home. He was born October 14, 1946 in Anderson, the son of Clyde J. and Anna Marie Fortwinger Fithian.
He was a 1965 graduate of Middletown High School. He was a member of the UAW 662 and retired from General Motors Delco Remy. He attended the Middletown Community Church and loved to garden and be at the ball parks with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Ann of Anderson, children: Wendy Slick (Jeff) of Winchester, Dawn Fadely (Terry) of Middletown and Shane Fithian (Erika) of McCordsville, 3 grandchildren: Jadan and Drew Fithian and Marissa Fadely, 1 sister: Martha Marsh of Anderson, sister in law: Linda Haskett of Yorktown and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Othal and 2 sisters: Geraldine and Sarah.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Dan Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Middletown.
Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 at the funeral home in Middletown.
Memorials may be made to the Middletown Community Church or the American Cancer Society.
