Daleville...Claud E. Riley, 85, resident of Daleville, passed away at his residence Wednesday morning.He was born in Wilder, TN, April 8, 1926, the son of Roscoe Conklin and Lily Alice Cravens Riley.He was a 1944 graduate of York Institute and a Navy Veteran. He retired from General Motors in 1986 after 34 years..He was a past member of Yule Country Club, Maplewood and Tri County Golf courses, UAW Local 662, American Legion Post 408, Past Lions Club member of Daleville, member of the YMCA of Anderson and served in the Merchant Marines.He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Clay and Bates Riley.Survivors include his wife: Shirley Jean (Denny) Riley of Daleville, 1 son: Michael Riley (Anna) of Tallahassee, FL and 1 daughter: Robyn Fisher (Steven) of Ft. Wayne, 5 grandchildren: Madelaine and Blair Riley of Tallahassee, Kristin Goetterman (Patrick) of San Francisco, Andrew Fisher of Ft. Wayne and Jordan Fisher of Ft. Wayne.Several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Rev. Marty Ballard of the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene officiating.
