Clarence L. Brown

Middletown...Clarence L. Brown, 98, resident of Middletown since 1934, passed away Friday at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Mooreland, Indiana, June 20, 1907, the son of Earl and Maude Canady Brown.He was a WW 2 veteran of US Army serving in coastal artillery.He was Fall Creek Township Trustee for 19 years and served as Assessor for 36 years.He farmed for many years and was an active member of the Conservation club and the Middletown Church of Christ.He was also a member of the American Legion of Middletown.He was preceded in death by his wife: Violetmae (Zirkle) Brown in 1995.Survivors are nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Robert Allen of the Church of Christ officiating.Burial will follow in Miller cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call on Monday from 7-9 PM.Online guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
