Muncie...Chloie M. (Shirey) Manger, 92, died Tuesday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.She was born August 8, 1915, the daughter of James and Adah Harvey.She graduated from Fayetteville High School and lived in the Bedford area until her marriage in 1940.She lived in Daleville until 1988 when she moved to Anderson.Mrs. Manger was a homemaker and worked in retail clothing as a wedding consultant until her retirement from Weiler's Department Store in 1981. She was a faithful member of the Daleville Christian Church for over 50 years. She sang in the choir, served as a deacon and elder, and was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship.She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband: John M. Shirey, her second husband: Ralph Manger, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.Survivors include a son: John F. Shirey (Marilyn) of Sacramento, CA, 3 daughters: Janice Richman (Bob) of Eaton, IN, Gloria Wilson (Dan) of Huntington, IN and Linda Templeton (Phil) of Lynnwood, WA, a step son: Carl Manger (Carolyn) of Chesterfield, IN 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Daleville Christian Church with Rev. Gary McManus officiating and Rev. David McCracken assisting. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.Friends may call at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Daleville on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and one hour before the services at the church.Memorials may be made to the Daleville Christian Church.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
