Daleville....Chester William Louis Turner, 88, resident of Daleville, passed away Saturday evening at his residence.He was born in Winchester, Kentucky, February 22, 1929, the son of William M and Lillie McIntyre Turner. He was an active trucker most of his life and retired from McLain Trucking where he had driven for over 30 years.He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Sons of the American Legion.Survivors are his children: Jennifer Rinker (Kendel) of Middletown, Chester Turner of Daleville, Robert (Sheila) MarvelL of Daleville, Paul MarvelL of Anderson, Michael (Nancy) Marvell of Rockford, IL, Aloma Smith (Floyd) of the Villages, FL, and James Marvell of Anderson, 1 sister: Clara Mae Amendola of Carey, IL, 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 7 great - great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Velma in 2004, son and 9 siblings.A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM at Ballard and sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville. Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the services.Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery, Daleville.Memorials may be made to CVA and Stroke Research;
