Chester "Chet" T. Turner

Chester “Chet” T. Turner, 61, of Daleville passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was born July 16, 1963 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Chester W. and Velma L. (Michael) Turner.

Chet was a graduate of Daleville High School and served as a Reserve Police Officer for the Middletown Police Dept. for a few years. He worked at Morgan Automotive in Chesterfield for many years as an Automotive Technician. He loved working on cars and helping others. Chet also had a love for the neighborhood cats, making sure they were fed and watered. In his spare time, he enjoyed gunsmithing. Chet was an honest, loyal friend who always would have your back in any situation. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his siblings, Aloma Sue (Skip) Smith, Mike (Nancy) Marvell, Robert (Sheila) Marvell and Jennifer (Kendel) Rinker; sister-in-law, Dorothy Marvell; several nieces, nephews and cousins and close friends, Mike Morgan and Steve Melton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, James J., Hubert E. and Paul W. Marvell.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Ballard & Sons Funeral Home, Daleville Chapel with Don Billey officiating. Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery.
