Middletown...Charlie Shelton, 83, resident of Middletown, passed away at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Friday evening.He was born in War Creek, KY, the son of Robert and Nannie Johnson Shelton.He retired from Guide Lamp/GM in Anderson in 1988 after 36 years of services.He was a member of Mounds Baptist Church and loved to play blue grass music and was always active with his family in Little league and sports.Survivors are his wife: Jean of Middletown, children: Don (Debbie) of Mechanicsburg, Cathy Emswiller of Middletown, Robert (Pam) of Jackson, KY and Stan (Kim) of Pendleton, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Susie Lucas of War Creek, KY and Nellie Cundiff of Jackson, KY, 1 brother: Sam (Pernia) of Middletown, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.Friends may call from 10 am until the time of the service.Memorials may be made to the Mounds Baptist Church.Online Guestbook at:
