Charles David Weir

Middletown....Charles David Weir, 53, resident of the Middletown area, passed away Thursday at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Anderson, January 17, 1949, the son of Basil and Elvinia Robinson Weir.He retired from General Motors in August of this year. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Army.He was a member of the American Legion of Middletown, Local UAW 663, and the Church of God.Survivors include: 1 son: Charles David Weir II of Middletown, 2 daughters: Michelle (Brian) Pedro of Pendleton and Jennifer (Andy) Walker of Middletown, 7 grandchildren: Charles David Weir III of Arizona, Katryna Dee Weir of Arizona, Jessie J. Pedro and Brittany Amber Pedro of Pendleton and Amber Kay Pedro of California, Jacob Anthony and Gabriel Griffon Walker of Middletown, 1 sister: Ruth Anna Good, Fiance: Thelma Smith of Anderson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna in 1998.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Glenn Creasey officiating.
