Charles Virgil Shipley

Chesterfield....Charles Shipley, 79, resident of Chesterfield, passed away December 20, 2012. He was born in Hymera, Indiana, May 9, 1933, the son of Loren and Blossom Batom Shipley.He was preceded in death his parents, 1 son: Jason Shipley and 3 grandchildren: Ricky Jr., Sebastian and Kristopher.He was a graduate of Hymera High School and worked for 31 years in Utility at Delco Remy, retired in 1982.He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion of Chesterfield and the UAW 662.He has lived in the Anderson/Chesterfield area his entire life.Survivors include his wife: Donna of Chesterfield, 3 children: Terry McNally (Ricky) of Anderson, Steven Shipley of Chesterfield, and Diane Shipley of Chesterfield, 2 brothers: Eddy Shipley (Ruby) of Hymera and Carl Shipley (Kay) of Sullivan, 2 sisters: Vivan Southwood of Shelburn and Iris Daughtery (Everett) of Sullivan, grandchildren: Jennifer Scarberry (Dave), Monica Noll (Josh) and Hayley Franklin, and 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held om Monday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Rev.
