Charles Emerson Head

Charles "Chuck" Emerson Head, Sr., 65, of Middletown passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis surrounded by his family.
He was born January 23, 1953 in Indianapolis as the son of Donald and Elsie (Wisehart) Head. He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1972. He married Sharon Kay Arnold on October 28, 1972 and she survives. He earned an Associate's Degree in Structural Engineering from Purdue University in 1982.
He managed Indian Lake Christian Retreat before moving on to working as a structural engineer for Goodhost & Carewell until his retirement in 1996.
He was a member of Middletown Methodist Church and a trustee of Mechanicsburg Methodist Church.
He enjoyed fishing and camping, cooking, computers, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Shannon (Jerry) Sinclair of Middletown, Charles (Alexandria) Head, Jr. of Moyock, NC, grandchildren; Anthony Thompson of Middletown, Deborah Thompson of New Castle, Jessica Thompson of Indianapolis, Evan Head of Moyock, NC; 4 great-grandchildren; nephew Donald Head III, nieces Jennifer Head of Indianapolis, and Johannah Head of Middletown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers Fred Head and Donald Head, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 at the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church. Friends may call one hour before the services at the church.
