Cathy Lynn Pederson, 70 passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was born on April 28, 1951.
Cathy graduated from Tipton High School in 1969 and attended IU @ Kokomo and Ivy Tech in Anderson. She was raised by her grandparents Henry & Thelma Pederson who raised her essentially as the youngest sibling instead of a granddaughter.
She is survived by her sons; Nathan Pederson of Frankton, Joshua (Sandy) Pederson of Lapel; grandson, Matthew Pederson of Westfield. Also, Bruce Pederson of Daleville; Pat Pederson of Anderson, Cindy (Jerry) Cole of Anderson and special cousins; Richard (Susie) Gross and the Cole kids and many others, too numerous to list.
She is also survived by her many friends of Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob having been in AA recovery since August 27, 1982.
In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her mother, Norrine Book, Betty Pederson, Bobby Pederson, Judy Koger, Nina Gross, Sonny Pederson, Catherine Zimmer, Celia Belle Lane, Betty Tabor, Hankie Day, Darren Day, Christopher Cole, Lucas Zimmer and her best friend John Dietzer.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville with Marty Ballard officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 -1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date at the family's convenience in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cathy Pederson memorial fund, c/o Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 S. Walnut Street, Daleville, Indiana 47334. Cathy always said, "If you didn't send me flowers when I was alive and could have enjoyed them; Don't you dare send them after I am gone! My kids will need help paying for all of this!"
