Daleville...Carroll ""Red"" Lockhart, 84, resident of Daleville, passed away on November 11, 2008 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after declining health.He had resided on his farm in Daleville fo the past 50 years.He was born in Medora, IN, September 28, 1924, the son of Omer and Mary Adeline Hall Lockhart.He had previously lived in Anderson and was a Delco Remy Retiree.He was a US Navy veteran of World War 2 and served in the Pacific corridor and in the reserves. He was a member of the Chesterfield American Legion, the VFW and Loyal Order of Moose.He was an avid bowler and bowled on the Moose traveling league and in several national competitions.He enjoyed the Daleville community lunches at the Methodist Church and the Lions Club breakfasts.His family includes: daughter; Ella Irby Reff (Garry) of Muncie, four sons: Larry of Muncie, Jerry (Sharon) of Ossian, Robert (Teresa) of Alexandria and Jeffrey (Tena) of Anderson, sister: Catherine Foreman of Mishawaka, brother: George (Jennifer) Lockhart of Columbus, 2 sisters-in-law: Ruth (Ronald) Kelly of Anderson and Leona (William, Jr.) Brummet of Crothersville, three step children: Evelyn (Roger) Callese of Clinton, Floyd (Rita) English, Jr. of Paris, IL, and John English of Marshall, sister-in-law: Geneva Peavler, sister: Janice (Don)Schuppert of New Albany, IN, grandchildren: Marla Kessler, Brenda Reff, Lora York, Todd Snoddy, Toby Snoddy, Emily Brown, Muriel Paul, Tyler Lockhart, Debbie Cassidy, Brandy McGee, Robert Lockhart, Stormy Lockhart, Dustin Lockhart, and Brittany Velazco, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wives: Margaret Peavler Lockhart in 1983 and Margaret Ellen English in 2005, two stepdaughters: Lucy Ammerman in 2007 and Judy Willock in 2008.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Daleville with Rev.
