Muncie...Carolyn Sue (Keesling) Buss, 85, resident of Muncie, passed away at her residence in Muncie Sunday morning. She was born in Middletown, June 4, 1935, the daughter of Robert and Ellis Dykes Keesling.
She was a 1953 graduate of Middletown High School and retired from Westinghouse in Muncie after 30 years of service.
She had lived in Middletown and Monterey, TN, before moving to Muncie. She was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church.
She and her husband were active in the Shenandoah Band Booster in the 1970's during the Shenandoah Marching Raider rise to prominence.
She is survived by her husband: Harry Buss, Jr., of Muncie, children; Kim Hurst (Allen) and Mark Buss (Karen) both of Muncie, 1 grandchild, Tony (Kami) Hurst of Muncie, 1 great grandchild, Reagan Hurst of Muncie, 4 step grandchildren; Holly Brown (James) of Muncie, Tim Green (Amanda) of Anderson, Joseph and Kate Green of Muncie, 3 step great grandchildren; Zachary Brown, Zane Brown and Gabe Leonard of Muncie, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Marty Ballard of the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5-7 at the funeral home. Social distancing, handwashing and face masks are requested using CDC and Indiana state guidelines.
