Middletown...Carole Sue (King) Rude, 75, resident of Middletown, ended her courageous battle with cancer and went into the arms of her Lord and Savior at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson, surrounded by her loved ones and family on September 7, 2013.She was born in Anderson, June 14, 1938, the daughter of John and Gladys Rockwell King.She had worked as a dietician for Anderson Schools for several years.She lived most of her life in Anderson moving to Middletown in 1984. She worked several occupation in her live but found her calling as a wife and mother when she married the love of her life, Larry Rude in 1983.She is survived by her husband Larry of Middletown, 2 daughters: Donna (Mike Sr,) Holcomb of LaGrange, IN and Melissa Giles (Robb)of Alexandria , 2 granddaughters: Jamie (Neal) Porter and Jessica Norton and 1 grandson: Travis (Jenni) Holcomb. Also surviving are one brother: Gene King of Arkansas and 1 1/2 brother: James Duffey of Washington. She was a great grandmother of 5 and was preceded in death by her grandson: Michael Holcomb in 2012.A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Middletown American Legion Post.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate her life with family and friends.Online Guestbook at:
