Middletown...Carole E. Gammon, 62, longtime resident of Middletown, died Friday at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson unexpectedly.She was born in Anderson, November 27, 1940, the daughter of Frank B. and Helen V. Ricketts Gammon.She was a 1958 graduate of Anderson High School and had worked as a nurse at St. Johns Medical Center for several years.She was a member and Past Presidentof the American Legion auxiliary. She was also Past President of American Legion District 10 and was a member of the 8 and 40, 10th District.Survivors are: 1 brother: Mike Gammon of Middletown, 1 sister: Paula A. Wills of Bunnel, Florida, nieces and nephews: Kim Dunn of Indianapolis, Billy Krintz of Anderson, Brandi Krintz of Indianapolis, Michael Garner of Indianapolis, Katy Krintz of Indianapolis, Tommy Dunn of Indianapolis, Toni Riggs of Cadiz, Jason Rigney of Bunnel Florida, Steven Rigney of Middletown, New York, Ana Paula Rigney of Belgium and Snovia Rigney of New York.Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 at the Middletown American Legion Post #216 in Middletown.There will be no public visitation.Memorial may be made to the Indiana Heart Institute.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.comBallard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown is handling arrangements.
