Bob Marks

Daleville...Bob Marks, 67, resident of Daleville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.He was born in Desoto, IN, February 4, 1939, the son of Herschel and Catherine Watson Marks.He was a 1957 graduate of Desoto High School and retired in 1995 from Carter Lumber Company. He was owner and operator of Gaston Lumber Company for five years.He moved to Daleville in 1969 from Albany.He was a member of the Daleville Masonic Lodge where he served as Worshipful Master in 1977.He also was a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, Murate Shrine of Indianapolis, and the York Rite as well as the Daleville United Methodist Church.Survivors include his wife of 48 years: Joyce of Daleville, 1 son: Kent (Marcy) Marks of Peachtree City, GA and 1 daughter: Susan Marks of Peachtree City, GA, 2 grandchildren: Lindsay and Kaleb Marks of Peachtree City, GA, 1 sister: Carolyn (Don) Niccum of Muncie and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street in Daleville with Pastor Karen Ottjes officiating.Burial will follow in Black Cemetery in Albany.Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 PM with Masonic Services held at 8:00 PM at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Daleville Masonic Lodge.Online guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
