Chesterfield...Billie Lou (Laurie) Barber, 83, resident of Chesterfield, passed away Monday morning at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.She was born in New Castle, February 12, 1928, the daughter of James and Opal Timbrook Laurie.She had worked as a telephone operator and at General Motors.She was a 1945 graduate of Middletown High School.She was a membewr of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene.Survivors include her husband of 65 years: Joseph of Chesterfield, 3 sons: James Ray (Rayne), Kyle and James A. all of Anderson, 3 grandchildren:Ryan, Tonya and Kali, 2 great grandchildren: Kalen and Allison 1 sister: Betty Jo Swihart of Elkhart and a special friend: Kay Carmack of Pendleton.She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Duane Laurie.Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 Southg 5th, Middletown with Dr. Philip C. Rogers and Rev.
