Middletown...Betty Ann (McCumber) Stoeckel, 80, resident of Middletown, passed away Wednesday evening at St. Johns Medical Center in Andrson.She was born in Georgetown, IL, September 6, 1931, the daughter of Clyde and Anna Boen McCumber.She was a 1948 graduate of Ridgefarm High School and St. Elizabeth Hospital Nursing School.She had been a Registered Nurse working in Home Health Care for 10 years and at Miller's Merry Manor for over 20.She had been a floor nurse and Director of Nursing at Maple Villiage Nursing Home in Middletown and later Miller's Merry Manor.She had taught CNA classes and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Alumni Association and was head nurse for to office of Dr. Susuki in Covington, IN.She had been active in the Sulphur Springs Christian Church and the Shenandoah Mothers Club and Band Boosters.Survivors include her husband: Ronald Frederick of Middletown, daughter: Anna Stoeckel of Indianapolis, sons: Ronald Frederick Stoeckel Jr. of Indianapolis, Ed Stoeckel of Middletown and David Stoeckel of Fishers, 1 brother: Russell (Anna Mae) McCumber of Orlando, FL, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters: Ethel Martin and Patricia Fultz.Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 am at Sulphur Springs Christian Church with Pastor C. J. Buskirk officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown on Sunday from 4-8 PM.Memorials to the American Heart Associaition,Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
