Betty F. Myers

Shirley....Betty F. (Gates) Myers, 90, passed away April 18, 2016 at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital unexpectedly. She was born in Hancock County, November 14, 1925, the daughter of George Nolan and Ruby Murnan Gates.She was a graduate of Carthage High School and had been a homemaker most of her life.She had attended the 6th Street Christian Church in Middletown and Center Chapel near Cadiz, was active in the Shenandoah Band Boosters (Uniform Committee) and the Ladies Aid of Center Chapel.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: James M, brothers: Eugene Gates, William Gates, and John Gates, and several brother and sister in laws.Survivors include her daughter: Kelly Myers of Middletown, sisters: Glorianna Babb of Myrtle Beach and Judy (Denny) Carter of Fairmount, and brother: David Gates of Summitville, sister-in-laws: Norma Gates of Anderson and Sandy Gates of Summitville, brother-in-law: Robert Myers of Middletown, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Betty Myers with family and friends.Memorials to your local Humane Society and the Middletown Fire/EMS.
