Betty Jean Musick

Betty Jean (Davis) Musick, 77, Daleville, died June 26, 2002 at her residence in Daleville after an extended illness. She was born May 29, 1925 in Alexandria, the daughter of Elijah Elora and Irene King Davis, and lived in Daleville for more than 50 years. She retired from K-Mart supervision in 1985 after 20 years of service. She was collector of baseballs, spoons and lighthouses. She was intrumental in the painting and decorating of the the old filling station in the town square near the Daleville Town Hall. Survivors include her husband of 59 years: Herschel Musick of Daleville, 1 son: Mark (Rebecca) Musick of Plainfield, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Roger Davis of Anderson, Vicor Davis of Elwood, and Marvin Davis of Alexandria; an uncle: David King of Dewey Arizona; several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter: Shirley Robbins in 2001. Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, with REv. Darrell Parson officiating. Burial will follow in Parkview Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation will be from 4-8 on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of Ball Memorial Hospital.
