Betty Jean Mcmullen

Betty Jean (Wiggins) McMullen left this earth to be reunited with her Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021; following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease and a sudden, devastating stroke.  Betty was born on March 22, 1938 to Albert and Julia (Richardson) Wiggins.  She was raised in Middletown, IN and graduated from Middletown High School. After graduation, Betty married Don McMullen.  They recently celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary before her passing.

Betty was somewhat of a free spirit and lived on her terms.  She was always on the go and spent little time at home.  She retired from Walmart after 25 years of service and had many close friends over her lifetime.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends.  If Betty was your friend, you were a lucky person as she loved her friends and was a generous and caring friend.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Albert and Julia Wiggins, her brother and sister-in-law; Ervin and Sue Wiggins, beloved nephew Donnie Wiggins, niece Debbie Helms and special friends Sue Reeves and Wilma Jones.

Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald McMullen. Four children; Rita (Tony) Carson, Dale (Becky) McMullen, Chris (Jody) McMullen and Jeff (Kim) McMullen; Grandchildren, Crystal, Chelsea, Kaitlin, Cody, Sarah, Peyton, Missy and Brian; Great-grandchildren, Ireland, Gabe, Tristan, Kyra, Grant, Zane and Quentin.

Viewing will be Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Ballard & Sons Funeral Home in Daleville, IN, with funeral services conducted immediately following, with Pastor Marty Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL  60601.
