Middletown...Betty Jo Emswiller, 74, resident of Middletown, died Sunday afternoon at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson after an extended illness.She was born May 21, 1930 in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, the daughter of Billy and Juanita Gothard.She was a homemaker most of her life and loved oil painting.Survivors include her husband: Bobby G. Emswiller of Middletown, 4 sons: Danny (Kathy) Potter of Greensfork, Glenn (Sharon) Hindman of Middletown, DAvid R. (Girlfriend;Glenna Sumpter) of Chesterfield, and David L. (Tamara) Emswiller of Middletown, 2 daughters: Sue (Richard) Gross of Daleville and Vicky (James) Nixon of Muncie, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Susie Powers of Middletown and Linda James of Soddy Daisy, TN, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by 1 son: Frank Cook, 1 brother; Billy Gothard, 1 sister: Margie Clem, 1 daughter: Carol Anderson.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown EMS, PO Box 1, Middletown, IN 47356.Online guestbook available at: www.ballardandsons.com
