Betty Jean Ashby, 93, of Daleville passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at her residence. She was born on July 4, 1926 in Anderson, a daughter of the late Harry Lee and Dorothy (Meyer) Dunn.
Betty had attended the Chesterfield Christian Church for several years. She worked in a defense plant in California for six months in 1945 and retired from Hoyt Rite Clothing in Muncie following 30 years of service.
Survivors include her brother, Joe (Alice) Dunn of Anderson; Son-in-law, Larry Thompson of Daleville; grandchildren, Shelly Thompson of Daleville and Jim (Terri) Thompson of Penville; great grandchildren, Kylee Thompson of Daleville and Zachery Culbertson of Daleville; great-greatgrandson, River Matthew Smith; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ashby; daughter, Beverly Thompson; son, Darrel Ashby.
