Yorktown...Bessie Faylene Wray, 71, resident of the Yorktown Healthcare Center, passed away at the nursing home sunday morning, June 11, 2017 after an extended illness.She was born in Columbia, Kentucky, October 14, 1945, the daughter of Charles and Mable Burton Blankenship Simpson.She had been a homemaker most of her life.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: L.C. Simpson, Michael ""Jr."" Lumpkin, Jack Simpson and Marshall Simpson a grandson: Chase Wray. sisters: Connie Brown, Clemedine Simpson.Survivors are her son: Gary Wray (Marlena) of New Castle and a daughter: Beverly Mattingly (Ronnie) of Lebanon, KY, 1/2 sister: Janie Cole (Larry) of Michigan, 4 grandchildren: Lauren Wray, Bren Mattingly and Jade Mattingly, 2 great grandchildren.A graveside service will take place at Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia, KY at 1:00 PM (Kentucky Time) on Thursday with Pastor Marty Ballard officiating.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Bessie with family and friends.
