Bertha Lou "Dollie" Osborne, 85, resident of Middletown passed away at her home August 6, 2018 surrounded by family.
She was born in Jochin, West Virginia, November 24, 1932, the daughter of Frank and Grace Mills Workman. She was a graduate of Martin High School and worked at Maple Village Nursing Home as a dietician for many years. She worked in the cafeteria for Middletown High School and owned and operated Dollie's Family Restaurant in Middletown.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, bird watching and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Eldridge, Dan, Okey, Harold, Blanche, Mildred and an infant sister.
Survivors include her husband: Don I. Osborne, children: Donita Chambless (David) of Middletown. Darrell Osborne of Muncie, Dawana Felty (Greg) of Anderson and Deeann Conner (Rusty) of Middletown, 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Turner (Jody) of Middletown and Sara and Clay Conner of Middletown, great grandson: Cole Turner, several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 6:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Dr. Philip C. Rogers officiating.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
