Barry Neil Byrd

Muncie...Barry Neil Byrd, 71, resident of Muncie, passed away at his home on Thursday.He was born in New Albany, Indiana, October 13, 1939 and was a graduate of English High and recieved BA and MA in music from Indiana University.He taught music for many years and retired from the Muncie Community schools.He was a member of Alph Zeta fraternity and Muncie's American Hometown Band.Survivors are two daughters: Terri (Bobby) Gift of Middletown and Jenny Byrd of Indianapolis, 1 grandchild: Colton Gift of Middletown, sister in law: Rita Eddleman, 1 step sister: Pat Eddleman and 1 step brother: Bruce Eddleman of Southern Indiana.He was preceded in death by his mother: Orene Eddleman and 1 brother: Don.Private services will be held in southern Indiana at a later date.Cremation services were directed by Ballard and Sons Fuenral Home, Middletown Chapel.Memorials to Second Harvest Food Bank of Muncie.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
