Sulphur Springs, Indiana... Barbara Jean (Gibson) Smith, 77 of Sulphur Springs passed away in the early hours of January 8, 2018 with family by her side at her residence.She was born in Terre Haute Indiana on March 22, 1940 to Howard Gibson and Virginia (Smith) Gibson.She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1958. She lived in Sulphur Springs for 30 years. She served as the Jefferson Township Trustee for 8 years.She is survived by 6 children: Toni Cecil (Randy) Muncie, Vicky Mosser (Jeff) Florida, Debbie Wait (Dan) Spiceland, Lori Peterson Muncie, Dawn Lowe (Randy) Pendleton, Jenny Walker (Doug) Middletown, She is also survived by one son: Bradley Smith (Lisa) Hagerstown, 25 grand children and several nieces and nephews, 1 sister: Diane Bird, Muncie.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband: Leland Ray Smith.A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday at 7:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home,, 118 South 5th, Middletown.
