Barbara Ellen Rinker

French horns must have been softly playing awaiting the arrival of a gentle, caring soul on May 24th, 2015. Barbara Ellen Rinker, daughter of Alfred Mac and Adaline Rinker was born August 30, 1947.During high school she worked at Frazier's Dairy Maid. After graduation from Madison Heights where she played French horn in the marching band, Bsrbara worked many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Jim Pierce and Dr. Greg Busing. She also worked in cosmetics at J.C. Penny and Gill Brothers.She was preceded in her transition by her beloved daughter, Wendy Ann; David K. Hall, father of her children; Mac (Al) and Adaline Shroyer Rinker, (she also passed on Race Day in 1964); maternal grandparents, Maurice and Helen Shroyer; paternal grandparents, Joe and Gladys Rinker; and step-mother Laura Sears Ferguson Rinker.Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her devoted son, Brian Hall; her siblings, Susan, Connie, Gary and Roger Rinker and Julie Rinker Mitchell; ""Aunt B's"" nieces and nephews, Jason Hall, Carly Manghelli Taylor (Jared), Micah Rinker Dean (Rick), Kara Rinker, Katie Rinker McCoy (Kyle), Tyler Rinker, Austin Mitchell, and Joni Mitchell; step-nieces and nephews Leslie Crumpton (Will), John Ferguson (Krista), Ari and Oren Ashkanazi; step-siblings Steve Ferguson (Jean) and Kathy Ferguson-Ashkanazi (Gili); special family friends, Harriet Spangler and Todd Baker; neighbors John and Debbie, Nancy, and Phyllis.The family would also like to thank Ball Memorial Hospital ER staff and Dr. Wilson, ICU staff, Oncology floor nurses Katie and Erin, Dr. Liang, Dr. Sulfi Ibrahim and all Cancer Center Staff for their compassionate and respectful care of our beloved Barbara.As Barbara would say at the end of every phone call, ""You go do what you need to do and I will, too.""Memorial contributions are needed to help defer expenses or to any organization specifically working on research for Triple Negative Breast Cancer.Graveside service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
