Middletown...Barbara J. (East) McMichael, 77, resident of Middletown, passed away at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.She was born in Anderson, August 17, 1929, the daughter of Hobart and Marie Heflin East.She retired from Delco Remy in 1981 after 30 years of service.She was a member of the UAW #662 and had attended the Middletown United methodist Church and was active in a local sorority.She was a ""Red Hot"" Democrat.Survivors include her husband of 31 years: Walter ""Mike"" McMichael of Middletown, 2 daughter: Sharon (Lewis) Harshman of Anderson and Chris (Steve) Sheets of Middletown, grandchildren: Randy (Shannon) Harshman, Jason (Holli) Harshman, Jaime (Kevin) Hudson, all of Anderson, Maria (Matt) Brann of Morgantown, WV and Alan Sheets of Fishers, great grandchildren: Maggie, Gaia, Myah Harshman, Paden and Rylie Hudson and Maverick Brann, step daughters: Rita (Steve) Froman of Rushville, Rhonda (Doug) Hardy of Greenfield and Ramona (Joe) Adams of Greenfield, 1 sister: Joyce Ashton of Middletown, 13 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren, 1 nephew.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.
