Sulphur Springs...Barbara Lee (Lockridge) Gibbs, 85, longtime resident of Sulphur Springs, passed away Thursday evening at her home.She was born May 10, 1929 in Spiceland, Indiana.She attended Spiceland Schools and was a real estate broker for many years with Classic Realty, Lingle Realty and Coldwell Banker.She was a member of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene.She had also worked as a beautician and served as a WAC in the US Army.She enjoyed cooking and dinners with her family.She is survived by her son: Kenneth Gibbs Jr. (Holly Dawn) of Middletown and daughter: Brenda L. Stevens (Jerry) of Sulphur Springs, grandsons: Jeremy, Andy and Michael McWhorter, Mark and Jim Gibbs and granddaughter: Candice Gibbs Bond, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Also brothers: William ""Bill"" Lockridge (Hilda) of Texas and Charles Lockridge (Sharon) of Pendleton, sister in law: Gerry Lockridge of New Castle.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Kenneth W. Gibbs, Sr. and a brother: Robert Lockridge.A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 North 5th, Middletown with Pastor Sherry Rogers officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.Friends may call at Ballard & Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown, Sunday from 4-8 PM.Online Guestbook at:
