Barbara Addison, 76, of Middletown passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. She was born on July 12, 1946, a daughter of the late Claude and Dorothy (Ritchie) Myers.
Barbara was a 1964 graduate of Lewisville High School. She moved to New Castle after high school where she started a family and later moved to Middletown. Barbara worked at Moore’s Drugs, Lou’s General Store, Iron Kettle and the American Legion before she settled in with the Shenandoah School Corporation where she retired after 27 years. She was best known for her rolls she made for the kids. Barbara also had a mowing business.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Anthony Brook.
Barbara is survived by her 2 sons, Kenneth Addison and Rick (Julie) Addison; a granddaughter, Rane Addison of Springport; 2 grandsons, Reid Rogers of Springport and Jace Addison; 2 brothers, Frank Myers of Straughn and Ronald Myers, of Indianapolis; 3 nieces, Angela Beth Myers Smallwood, Jody (John) Chiarotti of Greenwood and Jessi Myers of Mesa, AZ; 4 nephews, Nick Farmer, Adam Farmer, Andrew Myers and Justin (Lynne) Myers of Michigantown; 4 great nephews, Owen and Connor Smallwood, Ty Chiarotti and Gordon Myers; 6 great nieces, Lexi Chiarotti, Madison and Mckenna Myers, Reagan and Audrey Myers; and a special friend, Leah Stevens of Cadiz.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene with Ned Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah Scholarship Foundation at 7654 W. US Highway 36, Middletown, IN 47356.
