Middletown...Anna Mae Riggs Watkins, 92, resident of Middletown, passed away Saturday evening at Miller Merry Manor in Middletown.She was born in Henry County, January 7, 1922, the daughter of Russell and Edna Riggs.She was a graduate of Cadiz High School and lived her entire life in the Henry County area.She married Donald Watkins in 1940 and they established Beaver Ridge Farm near Middletown where they were known for raising quality Angus cattle. He preceded her in death in 1995.She had been a bookkeeper for First United Bank and loved working with flowers and reading.She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother: Nell (Farmer) Riggs and a daughter: Joyce.Survivors include 2 sons: Dan (Mary) Watkins of Middletown and Robert (Cathy) Watkins of Mandan, N.D., 7 grandsons and 13 great grandchildren.A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Ballard & Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the Middletown/Fall Creek Twp Public Library.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com and Facebook/Ballard & Sons...Life Celebrations, Counseling, Funerals and Cremation.A Reception will take place at Beaver Ridge Farm immediately following the services at the cemetery.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Anna Mae Watkins with family and friends.
